Here are easy steps to replace a Zippo flint (flint):
1. Open the Zippo cover
2. Remove the insert (mechanical inner Zippo) from the case.
3. Unscrew the screw at the bottom of the insert.
4. Remove any excess flint that may still be in the flint tube.
5. Insert a new flint into the flint tube, install and tighten the flint screw on the flint tube again.
6. Put the insert back into the Zippo case.

How to replace a Zippo wick:
1. Remove the outer casing. The initial steps are more or less the same as how to refill oil. You only need to separate the inside of the lighter from the outer casing
2. Pull the axis out. Pull out the old wick using pliers
3. Remove the felt coating. Turn around and lift up the lining at the bottom.
4. Remove the cotton from the inside. Remove all the cotton that is on the inside of the lighter. Usually there are two or three cotton pads. Once all the cotton is out, you will see a hole to insert a new wick.
5. Insert the new axis. Insert the new wick into the existing hole until you can pull it out of the chimney.
6. Adjust the axis length. The length of the wick must not exceed the height of the Zippo stack. So, scissors if the axis is too long.
7. Put the cotton back in and wrap it around the wick. Put the cotton back inside. However, this time you insert it one by one while twisting the axis between the cottons that you insert. After the wick and cotton are well "woven" on the inside, close the lining again.
8. Fill the cotton with lighter fluid. Because the new wick is usually dry. You have to fill it again. Pour lighter fluid according to your needs. Leave it for a few seconds so that the wick can absorb the lighter fluid. Your favorite lighter is now usable again.
